Natasha & Tom’s Beautiful Wedding at Kingsettle Stud
Kingsettle Stud Wedding Photography
A selection of photographs from Natasha and Tom’s beautiful wedding at Kingsettle Stud.
Kingsettle Stud was the perfect setting for Natasha and Tom’s wonderful wedding day. Tucked away in the Hampshire countryside, the venue has a relaxed and intimate atmosphere that immediately makes everyone feel at ease. From the moment guests arrived, there was a real sense of excitement as family and friends gathered to celebrate their special day. Natasha and Tom embraced every moment of the day, making it an absolute pleasure to document their wedding naturally as the celebrations unfolded.
The warm August sunshine provided beautiful conditions throughout the day, allowing guests to make the most of the gardens and outdoor spaces. Rather than directing events, I quietly captured the genuine moments that developed naturally — the laughter between friends, proud smiles from parents and the countless little interactions that often become some of the most treasured memories. As the evening celebrations gathered pace, everyone filled the dance floor and enjoyed every minute, bringing a wonderful end to an unforgettable wedding.
Kingsettle Stud – A Unique Wedding Venue in the Hampshire Countryside

Beautiful gardens, winding pathways and secluded corners create a relaxed setting that is full of charm and character. Every part of the venue has been thoughtfully designed, giving couples and their guests plenty of space to celebrate while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
One of the things that makes Kingsettle Stud so special is the variety of locations available throughout the day. From the colourful lavender walk and hidden garden paths to the open lawns and mature trees, every area offers something different for natural wedding photography. The venue feels wonderfully private, allowing couples to enjoy quiet moments together without ever feeling too far away from their family and friends.
Why I Love Photographing Weddings at Kingsettle Stud
Every wedding venue has its own personality, and Kingsettle Stud is no exception. The relaxed atmosphere at Kingsettle Stud creates the perfect environment for natural, documentary-style photography. The layout encourages guests to explore the gardens, chat with one another and simply enjoy the surroundings, creating countless opportunities to capture genuine, unscripted moments.
As a documentary wedding photographer, those real moments are always my priority. Rather than constantly organising photographs, I prefer to observe what is happening around me, capturing the smiles, hugs, laughter and quiet emotions that tell the complete story of the day. Kingsettle Stud provides the perfect environment for this relaxed approach, while the beautiful gardens and pathways offer wonderful locations for natural portraits whenever the opportunity arises.
Best Places for Wedding Photos at Kingsettle Stud
One of the biggest advantages of photographing weddings at Kingsettle Stud is the variety of beautiful locations available without ever having to leave the venue. Every season brings something different, allowing each wedding gallery to have its own unique feel while making the most of the venue’s character.
The lavender pathway, garden archways are a few of my favourite locations and provide a beautiful setting for relaxed portraits. As the evening light begins to soften, couples can also enjoy a quiet stroll together throughout the labyrinth of pathways and trees.
Beyond the lavender, the winding garden paths, old archways and hidden corners create plenty of opportunities for natural photographs. Mature trees provide welcome shade during the warmer months, while the open lawns and courtyard offer a variety of backdrops for family groups, bridal party photographs. As the seasons change, so does the appearance of the venue, ensuring every wedding feels different while retaining the charm that makes Kingsettle Stud such a memorable place to get married.
Planning Your Wedding at Kingsettle Stud
Planning your wedding at Kingsettle Stud is an exciting experience, and a little preparation can help you make the most of your day. From creating a relaxed timeline to allowing time for natural photographs, thoughtful planning will help your wedding flow smoothly while giving you the freedom to enjoy every moment. Here are a few suggestions to help you get the most from your celebration.
Golden Hour Portraits
If the weather is kind, I always recommend setting aside around 15–20 minutes during the evening for some relaxed portraits together. As the sun begins to soften, the gardens and surrounding areas take on a beautiful warm glow, creating some of the most romantic light of the day.
One of the great things about these photographs is that they never feel like a formal interruption to the celebrations. It gives couples a chance to step away together for a few quiet moments, enjoy being newlyweds and then return to spend the rest of the evening with their family and friends.
Family Group Photographs
Family photographs are an important part of every wedding day, and with a little planning they can be completed quickly and naturally without taking too much time away from your guests.
I usually recommend photographing larger family groups soon after the ceremony while everyone is gathered together and easy to organise. Keeping this part of the day relaxed means everyone can enjoy the celebrations afterwards, while still creating those important photographs that will be treasured for years to come.
Confetti Photographs
Confetti photographs are always one of the most joyful moments of a wedding day. The excitement immediately after the ceremony creates genuine smiles, laughter and plenty of natural expressions as family and friends celebrate with you.
Kingsettle Stud offers beautiful surroundings for confetti photographs, with its gardens and pathways providing a wonderful backdrop. I always encourage couples to enjoy this moment rather than worry about getting the perfect photograph and the best images usually come from simply embracing the excitement and having fun.
Wet Weather
A little rain should never spoil your wedding photographs. In fact, some of the most atmospheric wedding images can happen when the weather is not exactly what was expected.
Kingsettle Stud has plenty of character and beautiful areas that can be used whatever the weather brings. If you’re happy to step outside for a few minutes, a pair of comfortable shoes and a white, cream or transparent umbrella can be really useful. The most important thing is not to let the forecast distract you from enjoying your day. Your happiness and connection with each other will always be the most important part of your photographs.
Timings
Every wedding is different, which is why I always work with my couples before the day to create a photography timeline that suits their plans.
We’ll discuss the best times for family photographs, couple portraits and any evening photographs, ensuring everything flows naturally while allowing you to spend as much time as possible with your guests.
A well-planned schedule is important, but it should never feel restrictive. Building in a little flexibility allows everyone to relax and means we can make the most of unexpected moments throughout the day.
Getting Ready & Guest Accommodation
The morning preparations are an important part of the wedding story and often contain some of the most emotional and memorable moments of the day. Whether you’re getting ready at the Coach House, the Lapwing or Bustard huts or nearby, allowing plenty of time helps everyone start the day feeling relaxed rather than rushed.
The excitement, anticipation and interactions between family and friends during these early moments are all part of your wedding story, and capturing these details helps create a complete collection of photographs that tells the story from beginning to end.
If guests are travelling from further afield, considering local accommodation can also help everyone enjoy the day without worrying about long journeys afterwards.
Enjoy Your Day
One of the best pieces of advice I can give is to simply enjoy every moment. Your wedding day will pass much faster than you expect, so try not to worry if every small detail does not happen exactly as planned.
Some of the most meaningful photographs often happen during the moments nobody could have predicted — a spontaneous laugh, a proud parent watching their child get married or friends sharing a memory together.
Relax, spend time with the people who mean the most to you and trust your chosen suppliers to look after the details. The more you enjoy your day, the more natural and genuine your photographs will be.
Trust the Schedule – But Be Flexible
Having a plan is always helpful, but weddings rarely run perfectly to schedule and that is completely normal. Allowing a little breathing space gives everyone the freedom to enjoy the day without feeling pressured.
Sometimes the best photographs happen because something unexpected occurs. A few extra minutes chatting with guests, a beautiful moment of light or an unplanned interaction can often become one of your favourite memories.
A relaxed and flexible approach will always help create a more enjoyable wedding experience and a collection of photographs that truly reflects your celebration.
