Pre-Wedding Photography Oxford – Get used to having your photo taken before your wedding with a pre-wedding photography session.

Hi there, I’m Peter and I’m a Wiltshire based wedding photographer and I shoot lot’s of pre-wedding and engagement sessions all over Oxfordshire and the South West. First of all, what’s the difference between a pre-wedding shoot and an engagement shoot you might ask? Well, nothing except that a pre-wedding shoot is part of a wedding package and is booked primarily to give couples the opportunity to become familiar with having their photo taken before their wedding day. An engagement shoot is not attached to a wedding photography package and sessions are booked independently from their future wedding. Often however, a couple will go on to choose that particular photographer to photograph their wedding as confidence and a good relationship has been established because of the shoot. So, with a pre-wedding shoot, the couple have already booked me for their wedding and we have already met in person. We’ve had a good chat to find out what they love about photography, how they would like to be photographed, and what their venue and wedding day will all be about. with a good chin-wag, I can find out about their character and of course everyone is different. My approach to photographing couples is a fun and easy going experience and it’s important to get to know each other before hand in order to photograph people in the best way possible. Some people are out-going while others are more introverted and of course, lots of people fall in between these two categories. Armed with this knowledge, I can ascertain the kind of shots that will work well and bring out the best response in couples for a successful shoot. Often during a consultation, people tell me they don’t like to have their photo taken or they are camera shy. This is very common and couples are relieved when I tell them this and that there is nothing to worry about as with many years of photographing couples, I can bring people out of themselves where they will forget about the camera, have a lot of fun and enjoy the experience.
