I’m a Winkworth Farm Wedding Photographer who specialises in natural, fine art, documentary wedding photography.

Set on the edge of the Cotswolds, Winkworth Farm is a really lovely country farm wedding venue. Its location, Cotswold stone buildings, layout, and fields provide a stunning backdrop perfect for my documentary wedding photography style. From the start, I knew I would capture fantastic candid moments at this wedding all day and evening. The hot, bright weather led me to take more portraits of Lauren and Ryan in the softer evening light. We explored the fields down the lane and captured stunning shots in the hazy, golden evening light.

An absolutely gorgeous wedding and if I could some it up, just perfect! The whole day was packed with non-stop action, and I felt I couldn’t put my camera down for a moment!

I love to hunt for interesting shadow and light for my shots and use this to create drama in images. Consequently, the perfect opportunity for this was during the bridal preparations. Lauren decided to get ready in the loft room which was a really good choice as the light and shadow were spectacular up there. While Lauren was adjusting her veil I captured some really fabulous moments as she moved in and out of the beams of light that criss-crossed the room.

My Style

My style of documentary wedding photography is mostly unobtrusive. I watch through the lens for those all important moments and intuitively know when that moment will come. A collection will typically contain on average, 75% pure candid images like this. With all the gorgeous portraits of the bride and groom and bridal party, This ensures that an authentic wedding story is told.
